This matcha einspänner is a creamy, antioxidant-rich drink layered with vibrant matcha and soft whipped cream. It’s energizing, comforting, and perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
1 tsp ceremonial matcha powder
1/4 cup hot water (not boiling)
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup coconut cream or dairy cream (chilled)
1–2 tsp maple syrup or agave (to taste)
Instructions
1. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl.
2. Add hot water and whisk using a bamboo whisk until frothy.
3. Heat almond milk until warm and stir in sweetener.
4. Pour almond milk into a mug or glass.
5. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the almond milk.
6. Whip chilled cream until soft peaks form and spoon gently over the top.
Notes
Use high-quality ceremonial matcha for best flavor.
Coconut cream can be replaced with dairy cream for non-vegan option.
